Book Recommendations for a Spiritual Awakening
Lighter by Yung Pueblo
You might recognize the author from his incredibly powerful Instagram posts, which are actually clippings from his books! When I bought this book I was expecting it to be filled with short liminal bits of wisdom, but it actually ended up being a recollection of the author's spiritual journey. Filled with insights on letting go, being in the present moment, and setting yourself up for your future to be one you really love, I would highly recommend this book to anyone no matter where they are in their spiritual journey.
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
This book is an absolute classic - if you peruse Half Priced Books like me you might be able to find more than one on the shelf of the metaphysical section for under $10. The author breaks down how to approach self limiting beliefs that rob us of our joy and create needless suffering. With the entire book sitting at under 150 pages, this is the perfect nighttime book-before-bed read.
The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron
This book completely changed my perception of creativity by breaking down the creative process as well as limiting beliefs surrounding why we don't believe we can make time for creativity, be successful creators, and create abundance for ourselves based off of our creations.
The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael A. Singer
If you've ever heard the phrase "you are not your thoughts but the one observing them," this book goes in depth on releasing control, understanding your mind, finding yourself, staying centered, and spiritual evolution. When I read this book for the first time there were several moments I had to put the book down and really think about what the author was saying because it was just that powerful.
The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle
The only reality exists in the present moment, and this book is insanely helpful for getting a more solid understanding of what that really means. This book covers why the past and the future are not where we should spend the majority of our mental energy, how our ego can get in the way of our happiness, and suggests lots of mindfulness techniques to surrender to the present moment.
The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra
I must admit that I am not actually finished with this book as I'm writing this, but it is my favorite book that I have read in quite a long time. Deepak Chopra's 15 secrets cover the nature of reality, the path to enlightenment, interconnectedness, awareness, inner exploration, and what it truly means to have the entire world in you.
If you end up reading any of these, let me know how you like them!! Book club discussions are my favorite.
With love,
